In this exclusive workshop, Anthony Azar, Founder of the International Cigar Sommelier Institute (ICSI), introduces a new way of understanding cigars that is built for a market that has fundamentally changed.
Today’s cigar world is no longer defined by a few familiar brands. With hundreds of new blends entering the market, the real challenge is no longer selection, but how to consistently unlock performance in cigars you’ve never encountered before.
With over 30 years of experience and a background in thermodynamics and combustion science, Anthony will guide participants through a practical, structured approach to cigar selection and performance. Together, they will explore why cigars behave differently, analyse flavour development, and understand how to achieve peak smoking conditions without trial and error.
Participants will learn how to move beyond “rules of thumb” into a predictive framework, enabling them to assess, prepare, and serve cigars with confidence from the very first encounter.
This workshop provides a new technical lens for cigar evaluation, helping participants make more precise selections, advise with authority, and navigate the growing complexity of the modern cigar landscape.
