Dan Cotter

Dan Cotter is Vice President of Finance & Operations for the Cigar Association of America and the Pipe Tobacco Council. He leads the associations’ financial management, operations, industry statistics programs, market reporting, and data analysis across cigar and pipe tobacco categories. His work focuses on U.S. cigar market performance, imports, retail pricing, wholesale volume, and the business implications of industry trends. Dan has more than thirty years of experience in financial management, market analysis, and organizational leadership. Before joining CAA in 2015, he served as Financial Controller for several Washington, D.C. area firms and performed audit and consulting work for nonprofit organizations with Coopers & Lybrand, now part of PwC.
