InterTabac 2026: ticket shop opens early

More lead time and planning security for international trade visitors.

Booking flights, reserving hotels, scheduling meetings – and in many cases applying for a visa to enter Germany: for international trade visitors in particular, a successful trade fair visit begins long before the first day of the event. To make these preparations significantly easier, the ticket shop for InterTabac, InterSupply and NUBIZ is opening around two months earlier than usual this year.

Dortmund, 04 March 2026 – By launching ticket sales earlier, Messe Dortmund is providing greater planning security, particularly for international guests. In 2025, nearly half of all trade visitors travelled from abroad, almost 30 percent of them from non-European countries. For many, longer lead times are essential – for example, to arrange meetings with business partners or to apply for a Schengen visa. Early ticket purchases also enable better flight and hotel rates as well as structured budget and travel planning.

The earlier ticket launch also offers clear advantages for national and international retailers. Those who plan their visit at an early stage can prepare purchasing budgets, coordinate assortment strategies and schedule meetings with suppliers well in advance. For retailers with concrete order or investment intentions, the additional lead time provides valuable security.

From 15 to 17 September 2026, around 800 exhibitors are expected in Dortmund, presenting innovations across the entire value chain of the tobacco and nicotine industry. For the first time, the event will take place from Tuesday to Thursday – a new schedule adopted in 2025 by Messe Dortmund together with the advisory board, partner associations and exhibitor representatives.

During these three days, trade visitors can expect a comprehensive market overview featuring leading international exhibitors, a high-level conference program covering market trends and regulatory developments, and targeted networking formats. These include established side events such as PouchXchange, the InterTabac World Alternative Awards, and the Get Together Event, as well as the Cigar Culture Summit, which celebrated a successful premiere last year.

As in the previous year, separate ticket shops are available for trade fair tickets and for side event tickets.
