The celebration continues: Second Annual Alternative Awards Ceremony at InterTabac 2025

Users will be able to vote – event will be hosted in an exclusive setting.

Following the success of the InterTabac World Alternative Awards in 2024 at InterTabac and InterSupply, Messe Dortmund in collaboration with The Vaping Group Ltd. now announces the return of a ceremony dedicated to the celebration of alternative nicotine products. Presenting an exciting catalogue of award categories, and dedicated to the growth of the Next Generation Products (NGP) sector, the event will be hosted in an exclusive and festive area in 2025, removed from the trade fair stands.

Dortmund, 06.11.2024 – This private celebration at InterTabac and InterSupply will commence on the Friday of the event, with the sole ambition of honouring innovation from companies within the alternative nicotine products sector. The winners of all categories will be announced and honoured on stage live at the ceremony, granting companies the opportunity to speak and celebrate with a cohort of other industry experts and professionals.

As the esteemed publisher of the newly launched trade magazine Alternative, dedicated exclusively to alternative nicotine products, British media company The Vaping Group Ltd. is bringing its extensive expertise to the award ceremony once again. Kirk Martin, Director of Operations at Alternative, has said: “I am very excited about collaborating with InterTabac on the InterTabac World Alternative Awards, and showcasing the best of the best in the alternative nicotine industry to the world. It’s a continued celebration of a very diverse industry, and I couldn’t think of a better partner to host the ceremony with us.”

Users decide on the winners

Referring to the setting in the middle of the global flagship trade shows he added: “InterTabac is renowned for hosting not only a fantastic expo, but for perfectly executing networking events too. I, for one, cannot wait. It will be an evening full of excitement and entertainment, and you really need to be there!”

Users will get the opportunity to cast their preferred vote for product or manufacturer online, with a select few of the categories having a winner decided by industry representatives. The more than 20 categories will include Best Flavour Range of the year, Best Alternative Product of the year, Best Nicotine Innovation of the year, and many more.

Sabine Loos, Managing Director of the Westfalenhallen Group which owns and operates the Messe Dortmund venue, has said: “While classic products continue to play an important role, we are seeing a strong increase in demand for alternatives. By presenting the InterTabac World Alternative Awards we want to actively support this development and recognise the diversity of alternative products in their entirety. The introduction of a separate award was a logical step.”
